It is not permissible to fast on behalf of a woman who is obligated to perform an expiation for an oath (kaffarat yamin) but cannot find anything to feed [the needy], because it is a bodily act of worship. However, her husband can feed ten poor people on her behalf or clothe them, and by doing so, she will have expiated her oath.
