If the intent behind abbreviating the (exegesis) is the well-known shortening of lengthy books, then this requires a specific academic level and methodology, and only those deeply rooted in knowledge can undertake it. However, if the intent is to limit oneself to a single interpretation of a verse, then there is no harm in that, provided the proponent of that interpretation is mentioned. There are beneficial concise tafsir books, such as "Zubdat al-Tafsir," "Tayseer al-Kareem al-Rahman," and "Al-Misbah al-Muneer fi Ikhtisar Tafsir Ibn Katheer."
