What do you advise for someone who has memorized Surat Al-Baqarah without Tafsir; should they continue memorizing the Qur’an or pause to ponder the Tafsir of Surat Al-Baqarah then continue their memorization?

It is best to combine memorization with reading (exegesis), by allocating appropriate time for each, following the example of the noble Companions. It is preferable to limit tafsir to concise books like "Al-Jalalayn." As for someone who finds it difficult to understand the meanings, there is no harm in focusing on memorization first, then gradually understanding what they can.
