What is the meaning of "أبلها ببلالها" (I will keep it moist with its moisture) which appears in the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, the family of so-and-so are not my allies; my ally is Allah and the believers. However, they have a kinship (womb), and I will keep it moist with its moisture"?

The Hadith (definition), "Indeed, the family of so-and-so are not my awliya' (protectors/allies). My wali (protector/ally) is Allah and the righteous believers. However, they have a kinship, and I shall uphold it as is its due," was narrated by Al-Bukhari. This means that kinship-based guardianship holds no value; rather, it is established through faith and righteousness. The Hadith, "O Fatima, save yourself from the Fire, for I have no power to help you against Allah, except that you have a kinship, and I shall uphold it as is its due," was narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim. This emphasizes that salvation is achieved through good deeds, not kinship. As for the Hadith that describes people who are neither prophets nor martyrs, yet are envied by prophets and martyrs, they are "people from the ordinary folk and various tribes, whose kinships are not closely related, who loved one another for Allah's sake and purified their hearts for Him." Allah will set up pulpits of light for them, and they are the awliya' of Allah. This Hadith was declared good by Al-Mundhiri and authenticated by Al-Hakim and Al-Albani.
