To what extent is the attribution of circulating sayings to Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, which include urging kindness to animals and seeking the face of God in that, accurate, and are these sayings authentic?

These commandments are good, but it is not permissible to attribute them to Ali, may Allah be pleased with him. For they are not from his words, nor the words of eloquent speakers. Their creator is from our contemporary age, and no one with even the slightest linguistic taste would doubt this. One must be cautious about attributing a statement to a speaker without verification, especially if the speaker is one of the Rightly Guided Caliphs.
