Does adultery in Medina necessitate damnation, and is there repentance from it?

Adultery is a grave sin that incurs Allah's wrath. Committing it in Medina makes it an even greater offense and a more heinous sin, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, threatened with a curse whoever commits a reprehensible act there, and adultery is among such acts. However, the door of repentance is open to everyone who has committed this sin, for Allah accepts the repentance of His servants. The sinner must make his repentance sincere and regret what he has committed.
