Is it permissible to borrow from a friend whose money is halal to help one's father perform Hajj, knowing that the borrower is temporarily working in a usurious bank?
You must immediately resign from the usurious bank and repent to Allah, as Allah the Almighty says: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses. However, if you are genuinely compelled and cannot find a lawful alternative, then it is permissible to remain until you find a permissible job. Regarding borrowing to enable your father to perform Hajj, if it will cause your stay at the bank to be prolonged, then it is forbidden. But if the loan has no connection to the bank and you have agreed with your friend to repay it after finding a lawful job, then there is no harm.
