The love of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, can be nurtured in the hearts of children through stories of the Prophet's companions, by memorizing prophetic hadiths and rewarding them for it, and by explaining his biography, his military campaigns, and the biographies of the male and female companions.
The Salaf were keen on teaching the Prophet's biography, peace and blessings be upon him, to their children due to its impact on the soul and its meanings of love and jihad.
One should select exciting aspects from the Prophet's biography and the lives of the companions to stir the children's emotions, such as his childhood and his migration, in order to instill the love of Allah and His Messenger in their hearts. It is recommended to dedicate a daily time for the Prophet's biography, peace and blessings be upon him, by reading a simplified version.
