It is preferable to resolve disputes between relatives through reconciliation, as it mends rifts and avoids severing ties of kinship, which the Holy Quran and the Prophet's have warned against, describing the one who severs them as a loser and accursed, and denying him entry into Paradise. Some scholars believe that reconciliation is the ideal solution for such disputes and advise prompt reconciliation to avoid the escalation of disagreements and disobedience to parents.
