The answer

Tabattul (devotion) originally means "to cut oneself off." It is divided into two types: Praiseworthy tabattul, which is to devote oneself to Allah the Almighty with sincerity in worship after fulfilling one's needs, as stated in the verse: "And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion" (Qur’an 73:8). The second type is blameworthy tabattul, which involves adopting the path of Christians by abstaining from marriage and embracing monasticism, and imposing excessive rigor upon oneself in worship, contrary to the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade it, as narrated in Sahih Muslim that the Prophet (peace be upon him) rejected the tabattul of Uthman ibn Maz'un, saying: "Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me."

Praiseworthy tabattul does not contradict marriage, eating meat, or sleeping on a bed.
