Were there any Companions who did not marry due to their pursuit of knowledge?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged marriage and forbade abandoning it, saying: "Marriage is my Sunnah, and whoever does not follow my Sunnah is not of me." It was not known that the Companions abandoned marriage for the sake of seeking or spreading knowledge; rather, all of them married, including the great scholars and leaders. So, whoever combines seeking knowledge and marriage has combined the two good things and emulated the imams of the religion.
