Who was the woman whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by at her tent in the desert during the Hijra, was she Muslim, why was she living there, and what was her complete description of the Prophet (peace be upon him)?

Umm Ma'bad al-Khuza'iyah and her husband, Abu Ma'bad, embraced Islam and were among the Companions. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his two companions passed by her tent during the Hijra (migration). They asked her for meat and dates, but found none. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, noticed a lean, barren ewe that gave no milk. He stroked its udder, invoked the name of Allah, and milked it until the vessel was full. He gave them to drink and left the remainder for them. When Abu Ma'bad returned, he was astonished by the presence of milk. Umm Ma'bad then described the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to him in eloquent detail, whereupon Abu Ma'bad recognized him as the companion of Quraysh. Subsequently, a voice was heard in Mecca reciting poetry about the Prophet's blessing, to which Hassan ibn Thabit responded with poetry praising the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
