How can I make God love me like the Prophets (may God's blessings be upon them)?

A servant should strive for what pleases Allah Almighty through piety, obeying His commands, avoiding His prohibitions, drawing closer to Him through supererogatory acts of worship and good deeds, and cultivating asceticism towards worldly life. This is what brings Allah's love and pleasure, not aspiring to the status of prophets. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be with those upon whom Allah has bestowed favor: the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.
