Is someone who causes the death of seven doves by thirst considered sinful, and what should be done with the remaining doves?
There is no blame on someone who did not intentionally neglect the pigeons until they died, because it was a mistake or forgetfulness. Allah Almighty says: "And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred, but [only for] what your hearts intended." It is better to perform acts of righteousness or charity as expiation for what occurred. It is advisable to dispose of the remaining pigeons by selling them, slaughtering them, or letting them go free, to preserve the health of the breeder and so that the confined pigeons are not harmed. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against confining and torturing animals.
