Who was the Companion sent by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to gather intelligence on Hawazin and Thaqif before the Battle of Hunayn?

Abu Hadrad al-Aslami, whose name was Salamah ibn Amr, is the Companion whom the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, sent to investigate the news of Hawazin and Thaqif when he was informed of their gathering and movement to fight him after the conquest of Mecca.
