Who was the fastest Companion?

The fastest among the Companions was Salamah ibn al-Akwa‘. His speed became apparent when Ghatafan plundered the camels of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih a hadith describing Salamah's outrunning horses on foot, recovering the Messenger of Allah's camels from Ghatafan, and outstripping a man from the Ansar who was previously unmatched.
