The presence of men and women in a university, with a clear distinction between the sexes, is not considered forbidden mixing (ikhtilat muharram), and studying in a university under these circumstances is permissible. As for the other university designated for men, it is better if it does not necessitate asking people for financial assistance. Otherwise, the first option is preferable, because asking people for financial assistance without need is blameworthy in Islamic law.
