Is it permissible for a Muslim to frequent places of iniquity, such as cafes and dance halls, with the intention of calling to Allah and enjoining good and forbidding evil, after fulfilling his da'wah obligation within his immediate circle?

A Muslim must combine serving his religion in all aspects of life and strive to guide his family, in compliance with the Almighty's saying: "Protect yourselves and your families from a Fire." And His saying: "And enjoin prayer upon your family and be steadfast therein." He must also strive to guide his community, acting upon the Almighty's saying: "And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred." And His saying: "And to warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it." And according to his ability, he must change evil (munkar) as long as it does not lead to a greater evil, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he is unable, then with his tongue; if he is unable, then with his heart."
