Is taking Canadian citizenship considered an ongoing bad deed for one's children and grandchildren?

A child is born a blank slate, influenced positively and negatively by their surroundings. If they grow up in a righteous environment, it will have a positive impact. If they grow up in a corrupt environment, they will be affected by its corruption. Therefore, parents must distance their child from corrupt influences and nurture their innate disposition (fitra), as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every child is born upon the fitra, then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian." Therefore, one must seek a righteous environment for raising children upon the religion of Islam and its ethics. It is preferable not to reside in non-Islamic countries or acquire their citizenship except in cases of extreme necessity or for the purpose of calling to Allah, bearing in mind that the necessity ceases when its cause ceases. As for those who can uphold their religion and establish da'wah there without being affected by the corruption of its people, there is no harm upon them.
