Is a person held responsible for the content of everything he prints, except for obvious matters such as usury and alcohol, and does stopping the printing at usurious paragraphs absolve him of responsibility for the rest of the document?

May Allah reward you for seeking what is permissible and for striving to provide for your family and your father. "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect."

There is no blame upon you for translating something whose benefit or harm you do not truly know, and you are not required to investigate it.

However, regarding anything that becomes clear to you as being forbidden (such as usury and alcohol), it is not permissible for you to translate it, lest you become an assistant to its perpetrators. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its two witnesses, and its scribe, and he said: "They are all equal."
