What is the ruling on being unable to fast two consecutive months after a miscarriage in the third or fourth month of pregnancy?

If the miscarriage is caused by the pregnant woman, such as from a severe leap or by taking an abortifacient drug, then the ghurrah (blood money for a fetus) and expiation (kaffarah) become obligatory upon her. However, if it was not caused by her, then nothing is obligatory upon her.

If the miscarriage occurs unintentionally, then nothing is obligatory. But if it was caused by her and miscarriages are habitual for the fetus, then she must repent and seek forgiveness. Some scholars have, as a precautionary measure, enjoined fasting for two months, and she must pay the ghurrah to the heirs of the fetus.
