Is the name Nashwa forbidden to be given?

The basic principle concerning names is permissibility, unless there is a Sharia impediment. The Sunnah is to choose good names. There is no Sharia impediment to the name "Nashwa," but it is preferable not to use it because one of its meanings is intoxication. Furthermore, it has other meanings, such as movement and activity, which are not suitable for a woman.
