The name "Nancy" is foreign. It is permissible to be named with it as long as it is not repulsive, does not contradict creed and morals, and is not a symbol for non-Muslims. Muslims should be distinct in their names. It is wise not to rush in demanding a woman to change her name until faith settles in her heart.
