What is the ruling on eating crabs or any amphibian in all the madhhabs?

Allah Almighty has made lawful the game of the sea and its food, saying: "Lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said concerning the sea: "Its water is purifying, and its dead (creatures) are lawful." Accordingly, all sea creatures are lawful to eat, whether a Muslim catches them alive or finds them dead, or a non-believer catches them. This includes crabs because they are sea creatures. The permissibility for every sea creature is absolute unless its harm is proven. As for animals that live in both land and sea, scholars have differed regarding their ruling. The Malikis held that they are not to be eaten unless slaughtered (according to Islamic rites), while the Hanbalis disliked the crocodile because it has fangs, and they considered the slaughter of the sea dog (otter) and the turtle (necessary). In summary: Crabs are absolutely permissible to eat, unless there is harm in them.
