Is the night of Arafat the night of the ninth or the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah, especially since some say that Arafat begins from the midday of the ninth day until the dawn of the tenth day?

The Day of Arafah begins at dawn on the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah and extends until the true dawn of Eid al-Adha. As for the pilgrim, the time for standing at Arafah ends at dawn on the Day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha). The Hanafis and Shafi'is held that its beginning is the decline of the sun on the Day of Arafah. The Malikis held that the time for standing is during the night. The Hanbalis held that the time for standing is from dawn on the Day of Arafah until dawn on the Day of Sacrifice. As for those not performing Hajj, the Day of Arafah ends for them at sunset on the ninth day. It is recommended for those not performing Hajj to revive the night of Eid with prayer, reciting the Qur'an, and other good deeds.
