What is the ruling on working as an accountant in a state-owned internet company, where my job is limited to completing subscription procedures for customers, and are our salaries unlawful?

The default ruling for internet service is permissibility, due to its great benefit in acquiring information. It is a double-edged sword, but its benefit for da‘wah (inviting to Islam) and spreading knowledge outweighs its harms. There is no objection to working in this field as long as one does not directly engage in something inherently forbidden or something that leads to the forbidden. For example, if one knows that a subscriber uses it for forbidden things, then one should not complete transactions with them.
