Is feminism a form of forbidden partisanship that leads to the disintegration of Muslim unity?
Partisanship is the gathering of a group of people around an opinion, where they support one another. Reprehensible partisanship is that in which the Book (Quran) and the Sunnah are abandoned, and in which the partisans gather around whims and desires, or where there is fanaticism for an opinion or idea and hostility towards those who differ. Thus, every idea that divides Muslims and turns them into factions is a false idea, contrary to the objectives of Islam. What the "feminist" group advocates is reprehensible partisanship because it divides the Ummah and society, and because it involves an attempt to change the culture of society by attributing individual errors to Islam and society, and by selectively choosing religious rulings that support their whims. Therefore, one must be wary of these movements and call for adherence to Allah's manners and His rulings.
