It is not permissible to participate in any work that involves deception or falsification of facts, such as writing a person's name on research they did not complete, because that is forbidden deception and fraud. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever deceives us is not of us," and "The one who pretends to have been given what he was not given is like one who wears two garments of falsehood." Financial participation does not justify adding a name unless there was genuine participation in the preparation.
