Is the sustenance of the wife and children dependent on the husband's sustenance?

Marriage and sustenance are linked, for marriage is one of the doors to sustenance. Allah has promised the married a richness from His bounty, as stated in His Almighty saying: {If they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty} (An-Nur: 32). Allah also helps the one who marries seeking chastity.

Sustenance is decreed and predestined for every human being since their creation, and a Muslim should not worry about sustenance, for Allah is the Provider. Sustenance may come after marriage through a blessing bestowed upon the husband's wealth, or through the wife's wealth, or by freeing the servant from other expenses. Sustenance is wider than we imagine, and whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him and provide for him from where he does not expect.
