What is the ruling on recordings that contain the voices of male teachers and some voices of girls resulting from a dialogue or conversation?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If the recordings contain lessons by teachers with questions from female students, there is no harm in keeping them and benefiting from them. The preponderant opinion is that a woman's voice is not awrah (nakedness) unless it leads to lustful pleasure. This is supported by the fact that women used to speak with the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the senior Companions.
