Is it permissible for a woman to work in the field of voice-over, specifically limited to reading children's stories?

The fatwa we follow states that a woman's voice is not considered 'awrah' (private and unlawful to expose). However, she must avoid softening or beautifying it, in accordance with Allah Almighty's saying: ﴿So do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet.﴾ Al-Ghazali also indicated that a woman's voice is not 'awrah' except in singing. We see no objection to a woman working in voice recording and narrating children's stories, provided that her recitation is free from melodic intonation, softness, and vocal thinning. If a woman's voice is not captivating and does not cause the listener to derive pleasure or fear temptation, then listening to it is not forbidden.
