Is it permissible to speak during the Friday Adhan after the Imam has ascended the pulpit and before the sermon begins?

Speaking is forbidden during the Friday sermon to listen to the Imam, but it is not forbidden to speak while the Imam is sitting during the Adhan before the sermon. Al-Mawwaq mentioned that Ibn Al-Qasim saw Malik speaking with his companions on Friday while the Imam was on the minbar until the Adhan finished. When the Imam began the sermon, he and his companions would face him.
