What is the ruling on mobile phone messages or emails that request dissemination with a supplication or advice, or promise good news upon dissemination, and is one who does not disseminate them sinful?

Using modern means to spread advice and admonitions is a beneficial act, for "the one who points to good is like the one who does it," and "whoever calls to guidance will have a reward like that of those who follow him." However, it is regrettable that some mix this righteous work with falsehoods, such as claiming to hear good news upon publishing, or making publishing obligatory and considering it a trust, or threatening with sin for not publishing. All of this is falsehood and has no basis. The arrangement of reward and punishment is solely up to Allah, and one must limit oneself to what has been stated in the Shari'ah regarding encouragement and deterrence, such as saying: "Whoever spreads this good, it is hoped that he will receive a reward similar to that of all who act upon it." And whoever receives any of these falsehoods should advise its sender and explain the obligation to desist from these false incentives.
