What is the ruling on the supplications (du'as) circulated on mobile phones – such as supplications for parents, or a spouse, or children – and what is the ruling on publishing them?

Publishing and spreading supplications (Duas) that are not from the Sunnah (non-reported) through any means is among the praiseworthy good deeds if the intention is sincere. There is no harm in their content being a supplication for parents, children, spouse, or for the entire Ummah. Any supplication that does not involve injustice, cutting off ties of kinship, innovation (Bid'ah), or polytheism (Shirk) is permissible, even if its wording was not reported in the Sunnah. This is based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Let each one of you choose from the supplication that which he likes most and supplicate to Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic." As for calling to repeat specific supplications or distributing them with the claim that their reciter will receive a specific reward, this is a matter of divine revelation (Tawqifi) that does not accept conjecture. Whatever is authentically reported from the Prophet (PBUH) is accepted, and whatever is not, is rejected and attributed back to its speaker, and it is not permissible to accept or disseminate it.
