Is it permissible to pluck eyebrows with certain conditions, such as those mentioned by some shaykhs? And why did the shaykhs emphasize the prohibition if the matter is subject to scholarly disagreement? And what is permissible plucking and what are its conditions? And is following the opinion of those who permit it considered a setback in one's commitment?

There is a considerable difference of opinion among scholars regarding al-Nams (plucking of hair) in several issues: Is it exclusive to the eyebrows or does it include the entire face? Is it specific to plucking or does it include shaving and trimming? And what is the reason for the prohibition? The preponderant opinion, in our view, is that it is safer and that by it, its doer is safeguarded and exits the realm of disagreement.
