Why was man created against his will, and why is he forbidden from ending his life despite its misery?

The perception of life as pure misery is mistaken and is from the whispers of Satan. Man was created for the worship and obedience of Allah, and therein lies perpetual happiness. A good life is achieved by turning to Allah and striving to please Him, and by abandoning turning away from Him. One must get rid of illusions and work to utilize life as a bridge to eternal happiness. The existence of man is a blessing from Allah that necessitates gratitude, not grumbling, and the soul is not owned by the individual but by Allah, so it is not permissible to dispose of it except in a way that pleases Him. Suicide is forbidden and is the beginning of greater misery.
