Is it permissible for a husband to constantly taunt his wife and her family over financial disputes related to the marriage (dowry, قائمة (list of contents of the marital home), deferred dowry), and is it permissible for the wife to secretly relinquish her financial rights to end these disputes, and who is at fault in this conflict?

The drafting of the list of household items (qa'imat al-manqulat) is subject to custom and agreement between the spouses. It is not possible to rule on the agreement between your family and your husband regarding the dowry (mahr) and the list. As for the husband reproaching his wife because of her family's stance, this is not part of living together honorably (al-mu'ashara bil-ma'roof), and he must desist from it. It is not permissible for the wife to abandon her husband or seek separation for this reason.

If the wife wishes to waive the list, she may do so without informing her parents. However, selling gold and giving its price to the husband is not advisable and may lead to divorce if his intention by his oath was not to benefit from it.

The advice is to reach an understanding with the husband and clarify that the family did not intend to cause him hardship, to avoid over-interpreting his words, and to prevent the devil's interference in the marital relationship.
