Is it permissible to delay marriage, despite the presence of its necessary components, in order to achieve a financial benefit for the spouses?

If delaying marriage does not lead to temptation (fitnah) or falling into something unlawful (haram), then there is no harm in it for a beneficial reason. However, if it leads to falling into something unlawful, then it is not permissible, and marriage becomes obligatory at that point for anyone who fears falling into the prohibited. Hastening marriage achieves great benefits and averts many calamities, especially with the abundance of temptations (fitan), and the welfare of religion takes precedence over worldly interests.
