What should a wife do regarding her husband's demand for his share of the house's improvement costs, and does he have the right to force her to sell it? How can she fulfill his right and maintain his satisfaction without compromising her wealth, especially since the house is registered in her name and he does not financially support her?

The husband has no right to demand that his wife sell her house or obligate her to pay for any improvements he made to it without her permission. Such actions are considered a donation from him to her, from which he cannot retract. As for his failure to provide for his wife, this is a neglect of a right obligatory upon him, and he must fear Allah and fulfill what is due from him, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is sufficient sin for a person to withhold sustenance from those he maintains," and "It is sufficient sin for a person to neglect those he feeds."
