Can a jinn read written words?

There is no explicit text proving that Jinn read and write. However, it can be inferred that they do, given that devils write, which implies they also read. It is mentioned in the exegesis of the verse: "And they followed what the devils recited during the reign of Solomon" (Quran 2:102) that the devils wrote magic and buried it or attributed it to Solomon. Jinn, like humans, are accountable (mukallafun), and they possess abilities that surpass human capabilities, such as speed of movement, manufacturing, and shape-shifting. This makes their ability to read and write unsurprising.
