How can one preserve religion and faith in a time when sins have proliferated? Does a person become an unbeliever overnight? And how should the sinful repent?

If you read messages like these, praise Allah for well-being and ask Him for steadfastness in guidance until death. And whoever is afflicted with any of these sins, let him hasten to repentance and remorse before death overtakes him. And whoever repents, Allah will accept his repentance.
