Is the wife entitled to demand that her husband provide for her clothing and her daughter's clothing, especially if the husband spends lavishly on his brothers while holding his wife accountable for household expenses?

It is the wife’s right that her husband spend on her and their children according to what is customary. If the husband does not spend according to what is customary, then the Prophet permitted the wife to take from his money, without his knowledge, what suffices her and her children according to what is customary. As for his spending on his brother’s children, it is a matter of maintaining kinship ties, and the wife should assist him in this as long as he does not fall short in providing for them. The wife should be patient and gentle in advising and guiding him to improve his spending on their clothing, and draw his attention to the fact that the reward for spending on one’s family is among the greatest rewards.
