Is the repeated loss of money after repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah considered a divine punishment, or is it a result of envy from relatives?
It is not permissible to supplicate against oneself. A Muslim should be sincere in repentance and ask Allah for His bounty. What has befallen him may be a trial or envy, and he should strive in obedience to Allah and take the means to success, along with frequent supplication. If he fears envy, he should perform the Ruqyah proven from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and frequently praise and thank Allah, and be patient with whatever harm befalls him, for everything that afflicts a person is by Allah's decree.
