Is it permissible to specify a certain amount of money when supplicating?

It is permissible for a Muslim to ask his Lord for worldly needs such as wealth, a spouse, and other things, based on the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Let each of you ask his Lord for all of his needs, even for the shoelace of his sandal if it breaks."

It is preferable to couple this with a request for benefit, blessings, and assistance in obedience, such as saying: "O Allah, grant me righteous or pure wealth, and bless it for me, and make it a means to obey You and to attain Your pleasure."

Among the prophetic supplications in this regard are: "O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds," and "O Allah, forgive my sin, expand my home, and bless me in what You have provided for me."
