Does divorce take effect if I ordered my wife not to leave the house, and I said to her: "If you leave, you are divorced," then she left and returned, bearing in mind that I had divorced her twice previously for the same reason?

Most scholars are of the opinion that conditioning divorce upon a condition brings about divorce once the condition is met, whether the husband intended to enact it, to threaten, or to prevent. This is the fatwa we adopt, and accordingly, the divorce occurred when the wife left the house. Since you had divorced her twice before that, she is now irrevocably separated from you, and there is no way for you to reunite with her unless she marries another husband, and he divorces her after consummation, or dies, and her 'iddah (waiting period) expires.

It is advisable to present the matter to a Sharia court or to trusted scholars.
