What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding the dispute over the entitlement to the "Nuqut" (money given for a newborn) between the spouses and the wife's mother-in-law, considering that the mother-in-law took the Nuqut placed on the child claiming it was from her relatives, and the wife's maternal uncle changed his mind about the entitlement to the Nuqut?

"An-nuqoot" (money gifted at celebrations) is determined by custom and tradition in identifying the beneficiary, whether it be the mother-in-law, the child, or the mother. One should resort to understanding and ask people of knowledge. It is necessary to avoid obeying Satan, who calls for division and hatred, as Allah states: "Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze" and His saying: "Satan only wants to incite animosity and hatred between you." If your mother-in-law described you as "money-obsessed," she has erred, and it is better to overlook and disregard it to preserve affection, amity, and marital relations. If the wife's refraining from speaking with her family for a week is for the treatment of her psychological condition and not a severance of ties, then there is no blame upon her.
