What is Islam's ruling on a sixteen-year-old boy who ignorantly attempted suicide and survived; is there a possibility for him to repent?

Killing oneself is among the gravest of major sins and the most heinous of transgressions. Whoever commits such an act is threatened with eternal damnation in Hellfire, as stated in the noble Hadith. As for one who attempted suicide and survived, they must hasten to sincere repentance and give thanks to Allah for their survival. They should also increase in righteous deeds and associate with people of goodness and righteousness. Whoever repents with sincerity and devotion, Allah will accept their repentance, for the door of repentance is open for all sins, even major ones like polytheism, murder, and fornication, as mentioned in the noble verses from Surat Al-Furqan.
