Is it permissible to suffice with one Taslima in prayer if the Imam gives two Taslimas, and is that considered a violation of the Imam?

The majority of scholars are of the opinion that the first taslima (salutation) is obligatory. They differ concerning the second taslima; some consider it a Sunnah (recommended), while others deem it obligatory. If the Imam utters the first taslima, the followers, whether muwafiq (one who catches the entire prayer with the Imam) or masbuq (one who joins the prayer late), are no longer in his lead, as he has exited the prayer. Therefore, if the follower prolongs his stay in the prayer after the Imam has uttered his first taslima, he is not considered to be disobeying him. If the Imam limits himself to one taslima, it is recommended for the follower to utter two taslimas.
