What is the expiation for swearing an oath on the Quran, and does the condition "Allah will not admit him to Paradise" apply to breaking it, whether inadvertently or intentionally?

This person swore an unbreakable oath by the Mushaf, and an expiation (kaffarah) for breaking an oath is due upon him if he breaks it. As for his condition that Allah should not admit him to Paradise if he breaks it, this is vain talk (laghw) and nothing ensues from it. However, it is disliked or forbidden because it is a supplication against oneself. Some scholars are of the view that such a statement could lead to disbelief if said out of mockery or self-sufficiency. As for breaking the oath due to forgetfulness, no expiation is required, unlike breaking it intentionally.
