Is it permissible for a mother to say to her son: "May my God destroy me"?

It is not permissible for a mother to invoke a curse upon her child, such as saying, "May he be taken away," because this entails invoking destruction upon oneself and invoking the loss of the mother upon the child. Both are forbidden by Islamic law, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not invoke curses upon yourselves, nor invoke curses upon your children, nor invoke curses upon your wealth.
